Driving in Europe from 2nd August 2021
From 2nd August 2021, the European Commission has agreed that the UK are now able to participate in the “Green Card Free Circulation Area”, removing the need to carry Green Cards for all vehicles from the UK. This means you do not need to carry a green card when you drive your vehicle in EU countries (including Ireland) as well as Andorra, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Serbia, and Switzerland.
All of our policies include EU cover within the period of insurance while you are using your vehicle within these countries. For further information please refer to your policy wording which can be found either on your customer portal or on our policy documents page
